Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Juder AI LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“Juder.ai”, “we”) collects when you use the juder.ai website, the Juder app, and the Juder desktop app for Mac and Windows, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your personal information, show ads, or use advertising trackers.
1. What we collect
- Account: your email address and a securely hashed password (managed by our sign-in provider; we never see your password).
- Profile: the name, username, bio, learning goal, and optional photo you choose to add; your run goal, if you set one (3, 7, 14 or 30 days), and when you set it.
- Learning preferences: if you answer the optional questions when you sign up or afterwards (your kind of work, what you want AI for, how often you use AI, session length), we’ll use them to choose examples and lessons for you and set up your sessions. Only you see them. You can change or clear them on your profile.
- Learning activity: your drafts, practice prompts, your answers to practice questions and how long you take to answer them, AI responses, verification notes, grades, and milestones, and, in chatbot lessons, your bot instructions, test questions and the bot’s replies, and any feedback you choose to send, such as a note on whether a question was fair.
- Desktop app lessons: for each “On your computer” lesson, your request, the AI’s response, the names of the files you chose (not their contents), your verification note, and your grade. We never store the files themselves; the AI’s response, which may quote from them, is kept like the rest of the lesson.
- Business coach: for each step, which steps you’ve finished, your checklist, what you decided, your recent conversation with the coach (up to 24 messages), and earlier versions you saved when starting a step over. We keep them on our servers so your progress follows you on the website, in the Juder app and in the desktop app. Only you can see them, and you can delete a step or a saved version anytime.
- Voice: if you use voice, we don’t keep your recordings or the audio we read to you. What you said is kept only as text, the same as anything you type (for example, as a saved draft of your answer).
- Friends: the connections you request or accept, and whether you share milestones with them.
- Reports and blocks: if you report someone, we keep your report (who reported whom, the reason and any note you add) so we can review it and act on it. If you block someone, we keep the block so you stay hidden from each other until you remove it.
- Membership: whether you have an active membership, its plan, store, and renewal date. Card and payment details go directly to Stripe or Apple; we never receive your full card number.
- Account administration: if we change something on your account, such as giving you a free membership, setting a daily limit on AI requests, or pausing AI features because of misuse, we keep a record of what changed, when, and why. It stays with your account, is deleted when your account is deleted, and you can ask us for a copy.
- Usage and technical data: cookies that keep you signed in; a record of key steps you take in Juder (for example, signing up and how you heard about us, starting a lesson, finishing a graded exercise, answering “Was this fair?” or “Was this grade fair?”, and membership changes), linked to your account so we can improve lessons and grading; error reports (a short technical message and your account ID, kept for 30 days); anonymous daily counts, such as page views, that don’t identify you; settings (like theme, sound and language) and unfinished drafts saved in your browser, which stay on your device; drafts are cleared when you sign out; standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability; and your approximate country, worked out from your connection each time you visit, to decide which features and languages are available where you are; we don’t store it.
2. How we use it
To run Juder: create and secure your account, save your progress, generate AI practice responses and grades, show your profile and shared milestones to friends you approve, suggest friends, manage memberships, send account emails (like sign-up confirmation and password reset), enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, review reports and keep Juder safe, and fix problems, and improve Juder’s lessons and grading. We use it only for these purposes.
3. AI processing
When you run a practice prompt or submit work for grading, the prompt, the scenario, and your answer are sent to OpenAI to produce a response or grade. When you ask for learning insights, a summary of your past grades and feedback is sent to OpenAI to write them. We don’t send your name or email address with these requests. We send practice text to OpenAI’s API with storage turned off; OpenAI may keep it for a limited time to monitor abuse, and doesn’t use API data to train its models by default. Please don’t include other people’s personal information or sensitive data in exercises.
In the desktop app, when you press send or submit a lesson for grading, the text of the files you chose from your working folder (up to 60,000 characters in total per request across all the files, counting your final work too when you submit for grading), your request, the AI’s earlier response, your final work, and your verification note are sent through Juder to OpenAI in the same way. The app reads only files in the one folder you pick, and only the ones you choose for that lesson. We don’t store the files themselves or your final work on our servers; we keep only the details listed under “Desktop app lessons”, and the AI’s response kept there may quote parts of your files. Choose files that don’t contain other people’s personal information, passwords, or sensitive data.
When you chat with the business coach, on the website, in the Juder app or in the desktop app, your recent messages (up to 24) and your notes from earlier steps are sent through Juder to OpenAI in the same way, without your name or email. The coach refuses messages that look like passwords, API keys, card numbers or Social Security numbers, before anything is sent.
In chatbot lessons, the bot instructions you write, your test questions, and any sample or text you paste are sent through Juder to OpenAI in the same way, to run your bot and grade the result. Use made-up customers only; don’t paste real customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, order numbers, card numbers or health details.
Voice. Where Juder offers it, you can speak instead of typing and listen instead of reading. When you press the microphone, your recording (up to 60 seconds) is sent through Juder to OpenAI to turn it into text, without your name or email. In lessons, the text appears in your answer box so you can check and edit it, and it’s saved like anything you type. When you press Listen, or turn on reading aloud, the text being read (lesson instructions, feedback or a coach reply) is sent to OpenAI to create the audio. Juder doesn’t store the recordings or the audio, and doesn’t use your voice to identify you. If you use your phone’s or computer’s own dictation instead, that’s handled by your device’s maker, not by Juder. In the desktop coach, the text of what you said becomes part of your coach conversation as described above. With hands-free on there, the app starts listening after each reply is read aloud and sends what you say when you pause; it shows “Listening…” while the microphone is on. Everything you hear is read by an AI-generated voice, not a person.
In the Juder app, we ask for your permission before the first time we send your practice to OpenAI, and we record that choice.
4. Service providers
We rely on these providers to run Juder. They process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, and photo storage.
- Supabase: sign-in and account security.
- OpenAI: AI practice responses and grading, including desktop app lessons, chatbot lessons, the business coach, and voice (turning speech into text and reading text aloud).
- Resend: sending account emails.
- RevenueCat: membership status across web and app.
- Stripe and Apple: payment processing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example, if Juder is moved into a company we own), in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. What other people can see
Friends you connect with can see your name, username, profile, photo, and, only if you turn on sharing, your milestones. Juder may suggest you as someone to add to people who have friends in common with you. A suggestion shows your name, username, and how many friends you have in common. If you share your invite link, anyone who opens it sees your name and username, and if they sign up you’ll get a friend request from them. You can turn off suggestions anytime in Profile under ‘Show me in friend suggestions’. Nothing else is public.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. Error reports are deleted after 30 days, and backups after 8 weeks. Reports are kept for 12 months after we close them, unless we need them longer to deal with abuse or a legal claim; blocks are kept until you remove them or delete your account. The desktop app keeps some information only on your computer, never on our servers: unfinished lessons (your picks and text, not file contents), a log of the changes it made, and backup copies of any file it changed or moved so you can undo. They stay on your computer until you remove them or uninstall the app; choosing Sign out in the app clears your unfinished lessons and the copy of your business coach conversations on that computer. Your business coach progress and conversations are kept while your account exists. You can delete a step or a saved version anytime, and everything is deleted when you delete your account. If you chose to keep earlier coach conversations only on a device, they stay on that device and are cleared when you sign out there. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photo, learning activity, friendships, and membership record, and close your sign-in. Payment providers keep transaction records as the law requires, and backups and server logs expire on their normal schedules.
7. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, or turn milestone sharing or friend suggestions on or off, anytime on your Profile page.
- Delete your account and its data from your Profile page, on the web or in the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@juder.ai.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional rights, such as to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We’ll respond to requests within the time the law requires and won’t treat you differently for exercising them. Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), to keep Juder secure (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, we show you in friend suggestions only if you tick the box at sign-up (consent). To tell whether it applies, we check once, when you sign up, which country your internet connection appears to come from (from your IP address). We use it only to choose how this box starts, and we don’t store it. You can withdraw it anytime with the Profile switch.
8. Where data is processed
Juder is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9. Children
Juder isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@juder.ai and we’ll delete it.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, and private photo storage. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
11. Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we’ll tell you by email or in Juder before they take effect.
